HAVE YOU CREATED YOUR NEW ACE PORTAL ACCOUNT AND
SYNCHRONIZED YOUR LEGACY ACE PORTAL ACCOUNT YET?
SYNCHRONIZED YOUR LEGACY ACE PORTAL ACCOUNT YET?
A trade alert was sent on January 28, stating that CBP had successfully deployed Phase 1 of the new ACE portal on January 22. This phase includes a new log-in screen, home page, and some upgraded account user interface. Users have until February 20, 2022 to transition to using the new login page. Beginning February 20, users will no longer be able to log in from the legacy login page. At that time, the Legacy ACE Portal URL (https://ace.cbp.dhs.gov) will begin redirecting users to the modernized ACE Portal (https://ace.cbp.gov).
Important: In order to sync your ACE accounts, your current (legacy) ACE account has to be active so if you need to update your password, be sure to reach out to your Account Owner or Proxy Account Owner to request a password update. If you’re unable to reach them, you can contact the ACE Help Desk. See instructions here: ACE Support | U.S. Customs and Border Protection (cbp.gov)
Please be aware that although most of the ACE functionality you currently use will remain in the legacy ACE portal for now, such as AES filings, reports, and uploading documents to CBP, you still need to login and create your new account in the next few days in order to sync your information. These functions will move to the new portal in future phases throughout this year and once all functionality is moved, the legacy portal will be disabled in 2023.
