NEW ALUMINUM IMPORT LICENSING REQUIREMENT DELAYED ONCE AGAIN

Following the trade alert sent on Friday, March 26, the US Department of Commerce Aluminum Import Monitoring and Analysis (AIM) team notified the trade on Saturday, March 27th that the final rule requiring a license for certain aluminum imports has been delayed again until further notice.  This delay means that licenses will not be required for covered aluminum product imports beginning on March 29, 2021. FHK will keep you informed of the revised effective date and any other information that is to be provided in the Federal Register Notice.
