FEDERAL REGISTER TRADE NOTICES FOR ALUMINUM EXTRUSIONS

On October 6, 2023 FH Kaysing published a trade alert announcing that the United States International Trade Commission had launched an investigation in response to a petition filed by the U.S. Aluminum Extruders Coalition and others alleging that aluminum extrusions from China, Colombia, Dominical Republic, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Viet Nam were being sold at less or less than fair value in the United States.  The aluminum extrusions were also alleged to be subsidized by the Governments of China, Indonesia, Mexico, and Turkey.

Federal Register Notices were published on May 7, 2024 that instruct Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to begin suspending liquidation and require cash deposits for entries subject to the antidumping order for aluminum extrusions from 14 countries, as follows:
