NOTICE OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE MERCHANDISE PROCESSING FEE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2022
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) for fiscal year 2023 will adjust and increase various user fees, including the Merchandise Processing fee (MPF) as follows:
Minimum – change from $27.75 to $29.66
Maximum – change from $538.40 to $575.35
Informal – change from $2.22 to $2.37
Maximum – change from $538.40 to $575.35
Informal – change from $2.22 to $2.37
The rate of 0.3464% remains unchanged.
The Federal Register notice, published Monday, August 1, 2022 states that the adjusted amounts of customs COBRA user fees and their corresponding limitations set forth in this notice for Fiscal Year 2023 are required as of October 1, 2022.
