CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION ROBOCALL SCAM
The National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) sent an alert notifying members that a new scam is making the rounds. If you receive a robocall that states, “This is U.S. Customs and we have found drugs in a shipment with your name, please press 1 for a CBP officer” BE SURE TO HANG UP! Customs and Border Protection does not utilize robocalls.
NCBFAA also continues to remind members to disregard and delete phishing emails, always check the sender email carefully, and avoid responding to any questionable emails.
